About
In the suburbs of Colorado is where my creative journey began and where I discovered my love for denim and my interest in fashion. At 11 I started my own business, Dani By Designs, with the amazing help from my mother where I created and sold handmade denim handbags and custom embellished phone cases at local craft fairs.
After graduating from High School I moved to Los Angeles, California where I attended The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. I graduated from FIDM with degrees in Product Development and International Manufacturing of Product Development, both of which I received scholarships for. Through my time in school I interned for a lot of amazing companies gaining insight and skills in retail, fashion show assistance, product development, trend forecasting & buying, trim inventory, & technical design.
It was at FIDM in the IMPD program that my passion for the denim industry flourished, being mentored by Silver Jeans Co., taking part in the ISKO I-SKOOL Edition 3 Denim Design Competition, and interning for Ralph Lauren in their denim department for a summer.
